Language Education Policy is a burgeoning field of scholarship that grounds its legitimation on broad frameworks such as Language Policy, Education Policy, Curriculum Studies and Critical Language Studies.

This Conference focuses on policies that bring deep, open curricula to the fore, in relation to Francois Victor Tochon's recent book titled Language Education Policy Unlimited: Global Perspectives and Local Practices

The Sixth International Conference on  Language Education Policy is being held on the weekend of 17-18 October 2015 at the University of Southern Queensland, Towoomba campus, Queensland, Australia.

We are inviting presenter abstracts for research presentations and snapshots of pedagogy (30 minutes), and workshops (1 hour) that relate directly to your research and/or teaching.

Abstracts should be sent to Shirley O'Neill and are due by 08 September, 2015.

Notification of acceptances will be ongoing.

Full research papers should be submitted by 18 December 2015 to Dr Henriette van Rensburg.

These submissions will undergo a double blind peer review for publication 31 March 2016
as book chapters by Deep University Press.

Details of international keynote speakers and registration will be shortly available on the USQ website.

Join like-minded individuals with an interest in improving languages education, teaching, researching, making connections and fostering the internationalisation of education. World renowned keynote speakers will identify and respond to the major challenges and issues involved in languages learning today, providing leadership to stimulate policy and pedagogical change.

All enquiries can be directed to Associate Professor Shirley O’Neill oneills@usq.edu.au or phone 0409 264 883 (Australia)
